On the 28th of May 2024, the Italian partner CEIPES organised the second encounter of pilot testing of the e-learning platform project in collaboration with ENS Palermo. After the first encounter, participants had the time to navigate through the Course 1 (Introduction to Home Automation).
During this second encounter, the Course 2 (Installation of Home Automation Technologies) and Course 3 (Use of Home Automation Technologies) were presented, together with the updates about the general development progress of the e-learning platform, specifically the creation of a Glossary section and the Forum.
Participants showed interest on discovering more about which could be the most suitable smart home technology for their homes. The Sweet Home platform showed them devices they did not to exist, being an added value for this piloting phase. They realised how smart home technologies can be useful and comfortable for their lives, helping them to break some barriers and fostering their independence.
This was a very special encounter for the Italian pilot phase, as it was when the toolkits were given as a gift to the participants, in order to let them try their practical uses at home for themselves. They seemed to really appreciate it and to be willing to use the My Sweet Smart Home platform as a guide to achieve it.
Stay tuned for the next and final pilot encounter by following the project social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn).
